At this point I will begin my 100 days, I am so tired of porn and the shame that it brings. I have a desire to stop looking at this stuff. I am amazed at how easy it is to get this stuff nowadays on the net and how normalized it is within our culture. I have a desire to stop looking at this porn because it does something to my soul and rots my brain out and the feeling is very real. I intend to post something here everyday for the next 100 days to be successful at this (October 22). Thanks

the one 100 days is an initial goal and usually the hardest. It takes a desire to stop looking at porn to accomplish it. If you have the desire you can do it.

This is my first day. Please explain to me about the major milestones. Is the first 100 days the hardest? What are the next milestones in this addiction? Do they have names for the periods - first 100/initial, or something?
I had a major problem occur on March 28. My world stopped changed with my wife and I do to my behavior - porn use for a long time (6-7 years) and 2 sex acts. I went cold turkey on March 28th. Do I have an addiction is my question. ?

Excellent! I'm sure you can do the 100 days and more. Hopefully this will give you some encourgaement. Today is my 97th day. I'm happy about that but recognize I'm always a few key strokes away from going back. Even better is that tonight my wife is out of town and I'm home alone. In the past that would have meant a license to binge with porn but instead I'm here. Good things can happen with the support of the people here. Good luck my friend!

I now about the desire aspect, I'm just wondering about the significance of the 100 days part. Does it have special meaning, like 'ninety meeting in ninety days' with AA. I'm just curious. Good luck in any event and congrats on day 2.

Yes, Yes 100 days has significance in that it's only a suggestion probibly carried over from AA. This suggestion is certainly a good one, for it allows newcomers to get in the "habit" of coming to the forum and getting to know familiar faces, by posting something once a day for 100 days. More to be revealed....

antiaddiction I hope u go with us, for me this is my third day and i'm finding difficulties, but knowning that others are struggling as much as I do, or may be more, makes things easier
The problem is porn is every where, and it's hard to get rid of it, we find it on internet a lot espicially those sexy wallpapers and screensavers which are not real porn but they are motivator to porn, and most importrant sites put ads for these screensavers or supermodels news. we have to use the internet, but how to avoid these ads?

Hi Viki and C JaM
Thanks for the support. My first day was a breeze - but, first days always are - and regarding p*orn being every where, I guess as long as we don't actively seek it, that is good. If we accidentally enter a website with some p in it, we can always get out of that site.
So, as I had mentioned, here's my quote for day 1:
"The years teach much that the days never know." -- Emerson
Keep it real folks. See u all soon

I'm a returner to the Board.
Here's a quote some of y'all may find helpful:
