Christian Men. Each day we should do as Jack is doing today. We need to give up our bodies and souls to Almighty God as a living sacrifice. Start out our day asking for cleansing and the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and feelings. By doing this it will make us aware of our thoughts and remind us to flee from lust when it appears in our feelings and thoughts.
We need to be vigilant about this. God is extremely clear about this sin and we cannot be lazy and stumble. It is too easy to do that. We are called for a higher purpose. We belong body and soul to Jesus Christ who died for us.
Thank you everyone for praying. Keep praying for each other and for all the men on all the boards at lightwave.proboards God can draw men to this site. God can rescue anyone no matter what they did. He is our lifeguard.
Today I have felt tempted and had strong urges. How easy it would be to give in. But I am not called to do that. No excuses.
"Surely it is God who saves me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense. And he will be my saviour."
- A quote from the book of Psalms

The fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control.

Each Christian needs half an hour of prayer each day, except when we are busy, then we need an hour.

MrOuch, that's right on the money. We ALL need to talk to God as much as we can. What on earth are we doing that is so important that we cannot make time for God?
Perhaps if we spent every minute we used to spend on porn in prayer and reading God's word life would be better? Just a thought.

I stand boldly before the throne of God and ask that the Christian Men in this thread recieve power through the Holy Spirit to withstand sexual temptation. That the specific strong holds of pornography , masterbation and fantasy will be dismanteled in us and cast out through the power of God. Jesus Christ. Thank you God.

Being honest with myself and with God is a significant step forward in the healing process. I have decided that I need to be even more honest and reveal more about my life struggles regarding striving for purity. I am adding that to my journal in the hopes that I can help other fellow strugglers along the way.
God seems to be able to use our bad situations for good. Sometimes I have said to myself, what good can come out of this terrible situation I am in? By sharing my personal struggles and how God has helped me and how I have been able to overcome or at least deal with specific areas of my sexuality, I believe answers the question of "What good can come out of this?" So in my journal today I have opened up a previously private area of my past and present. I believe it is God's leading that I do this.
It is said in scripture that God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. If we belong to him, we belong in the light and we have no place in the darkness. His light exposes the darkness and fills it with light. Applying this truth to my sexual secrets means revealing them, exposing them, and allowing God to rush in his light into this dark area.
What I am confessing in my journal is actually a humbling thing for me. It is hard for me to expose such personal things because I want to be a role model. Part of me wishes to be perfect to help others. But I am not perfect at all - far from it. And so in being honest about myself I am being truthful. And the truth will set you free, says the scriptures.
Now I am not sure what I was trying to say here. But I think the point is as Christians we cannot try to act like we are perfect to lead others. I think we need to be ourselves, acknowledge where we have been and give all the credit to God for helping us out of the pit and onto the path that he leads us to.

From somewhere in Psalm 91 : He covers us with his feathers beneath his wings we will find refuge his faithfullness is our shield and our rampart. We will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day... once again I offer my sexual desires by way of a conscious decision to turn my eyes and my thoughts away from temptation and know that any success I gain is from his power. Jesus Christ.
Fellas I pray that you will gain through God the power to over come any unhealthy sexual temptation. Jesus Christ.

Trust In God!
The past few weeks I've been working so hard on my addiction, I've gone back into my past to think about things that may have had something to do with my addiction. I've planned what I'll do so that I won't relapse. I want this to be over, to be over now.
I can't forget, I can't overlook that I've got to trust in God. God has a plan for me and how I'll overcome this addiction. I can not force God to end my addiction. I must relax and give into God's will. God has my best interest in heart, God wants what is best for me. I must remain open to God's plan. I give my fight over to God. I trust God to take me down the path toward my better life. Trust in God.
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
Thanks be to God.
Think Good Thoughts!

Psalm 40
I waited patiently for the LORD, he inclined and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock. He made my footsteps firm. Many will see and fear and put their trust in him.

Ok , Today has been a day of standing and with standing. "Because he loves me says the Lord I will rescue him. I will protect him for he acknoweleges my name." Lord I do acknowelege you and love you and confess my iniquities and ask that you give me the power to stand and that you would stand with me in the face of temptation that I may overcome through your strength. I pray this for my brothers as well. In Jesus name.
Thin ice today boys.

Remembering the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden. Boy does the fruit on that tree look delish!
But God said not to eat any of it!
What does God know? I bet it tastes awesome. And that crafty serpant told me I will be all the wiser for tasting it.
Oh, I guess it can't hurt. Bite. Chew. MMM. It does taste good! Better than any fruit on these other trees!
Oh no. I feel weird. Naked. Better hide, God is coming.
This story can so be related to any temptations we face. Esp. P. Or MB? There will always be a tree that we are not to taste from. Lets learn from the Adams family how NOT to deal with it.

Lord, in the times of dryness when I feel uninspired and distant from you when the world drones and I can only sigh. I love you. I thank you for being my advocate and protector. I acknowledge your high presence Jesus Christ.
Be incouraged fellas.

Here's the lyrics to a song that has brought me some hope and made a real impact in my heart:
I'm Your Beloved
Lord, it was You who created the heavens. Lord, it was Your hand that put the stars in their place. Lord, it was Your voice that commands the morning. Because even oceans and their waves bow at your feet, oh God. Lord, who am I compared to Your glory? Lord, who am I compared to Your majesty?
I'm Your beloved, Your creation, and You love me as I am. You've called me chosen for Your people, unashamed to call me Your own. I'm Your beloved.

Psalm 91: ...I will protect him, for he acknoweledges my name. ...
we do and he does.
Hanging on, I believe that he absolutely does love us individualy as well as corporatly. No matter how we may feel about ourselves, we are acceptable to him. As your song says, we are his creation. His.
Lets strive for our best effort.
