Amen to that Jack. You were purchased, and as it is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God."
He will not be denied and it is great to see you realise that.

Revelation 21 The New Jerusalem 1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." 5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
6He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
22I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

rockwell, thanks for starting this thread!
As I've been fighting my battle with PA I've come to realize that I'm fighting a much greater battle. The battle between good and evil. God wants me to heal my wounds (my PA). God is the source of real strength.
But you, O LORD, be not far off, O my strength, come quickly to help me. Psalms (22: 19)
O my strength, I watch for you, you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God. Psalms (59: 9)
Men are made in God's image. God is good and kind and forgiving. But God is the wild one whose image we bear. God is a strong, fierce warrior. I have the heart and spirit of a warrior with a battle to fight. There will be times that the traitor within me will try to make me give up the fight. The world, the devil will work and fight behind the scenes, out of the darkness to try to get me to give up the fight. I will turn to my real strength, my real courage and not run away. God and I will fight the battle against the enemy.
The key to fighting this battle, is not to fight alone. We are all under attack at the level of our thoughts and feelings. We must hang on to the truth, this will not be easy. Stand on what is true and do not let go. Be watchful, especially in the beginning of the temptation, for the enemy is then more easily overcome. God is with us.
Have discipline to keep open the line of communication with God. Spend time with God each day. Do whatever brings you back to your heart and the heart of God.
You will be wounded in this battle. It is an honor to be wounded in the service of the LORD.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
LORD, thank you for this support board and all of the people that come here looking for recovery. LORD, thank you for being with us each day, and help us, O LORD, to hear your words that they might guide us to the path you want us to walk. I pray that you will help us all, O LORD, in our fight with this addiction.

The Greatest Commandment Mark 12
28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'[f] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."
32"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
34When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

This is where I need to be. I have put my faith away and forsaken my Lord. I love myself and those things that make me feel good at this moment. My personal battles are fought in my head and not in my heart. Notice how those battles are fought above the heart? I ask for prayer that I and my wife will make this a battle together and not against each other. That is what Satan really wants. To divide then conquer.
Today I ask that my God touch my wife and give her some well earned peace.

Hey, Lately well the last year or so Ive been taking scriptures applicable to current things in my life and memorizing them some would say thats a bit extreme but its a personal excercise and no one knows Im doing it because it doesnt show on the out side. Any way Psalm One was a recent accomplishment an one I find my self meditating on often because it contains very good basic direction. Paraphrasing: Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly - dont take direction from people who arnt seeking gods direction themselves.
or stand in the way of the sinner- I cant think of better advice dont put yourself in situations where you are vulnerable and apt to fall.
or sit in the seat of the scornful- dont take the position of finding fault with others we are all struggling one way or another in this world.
Of course the rest of the Psalm is very meaningful as well but I cant get over the simple wisdom offered in the first few lines.

Prayer for the men on this thread
I have asked the Lord to be with you and to protect your mind. I ask him to reveal himself to you and as you seek him, you will find him in all his glory. He will be your strength and shield. Rely on him and trust in him. Seek him with all of your heart and you will find cleansing and forgiveness, compassion and help in your time of need.

It is so encouraging to just read all your guy's posts. It is very comforting to know that other
believers struggle with this horrible thing as well. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers.
P.S. - Thankyou rockwell for starting this thread.

rockwell,
Thanks for starting this thread. I have everything to thank God for. He has been the cornerstone that I have been able to rebuild my life around. For the last 13 months I have been grateful for a second chance at my faith and my marriage.
One scripture that I have quoted ad nauseum is 1 Peter 5:8 "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." I am ever vigilant now and try and take every thought captive and subjugate it to the will of God. It ain't easy at times, but it's worth the struggle.
I'm praying for us all. We can make it.
Peace

Quotes from I Peter 4-12
The Living Stone and a Chosen People
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame." Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Fellas, Today I am offering a sacrifice to God. That is regognizing a strong desire in me today to act out sexualy through porn or fantasy and offering up that desire by way of abstinance.
I believe. Help my unbelief. Jesus Christ.
and help my brothers

OK, another day by the Grace of God . I would like to say out loud that today I will offer my desires for anything sexual as a freely given sacrifice to God . I boldly ask in the name of Jesus for an infusion of power to over throw any temptation that might arise for the spoiling of this sacrifice.
For all of us who struggle I pray that the Holy spirit would open us to recieve Gods redemptive Grace. Jesus Christ. Love.
