Okay,
I didn't intend for everyone to just quit. I found this one scrawled on a piece of paper in my back pocket.
There once was a man who had so many P files There were stacked and racked into overflowing piles Each day he searched endlessly for more Surfing and surfing for the ultimate score Only to discover he had lost all his wiles

Hey! What's that in my pocket, clearly not rocket? Methinks some more poorly rhyming corn about p:
There once was a man named Jim Who felt his addiction merely a whim But all day he did stay on line Thinking it fine Until his wife walked out on him

No, this isn't another stupid limerick. I was just thinking after reading another's journal entry, that some of us overindulged in limerick writing and woke up with limerick hang overs and are feeling a little guilty. Screw the guilt. I had fun and it was a welcome temporary short diversion from the daily daunting task of recovery. And the true measure of its value(to me) is: MRS BF AND I WENT TO SLEEP LAST NIGHT CUDDLING AND HUGGING AND GIGGLING AND RHYMING I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself, what a wonderful world... Thanks Satchmo(if you are too young to know this song, download and play it when you are feeling happy or blue) bf

I came to no-porn for relief To free me and my family from grief By the Grace of the Lord I came to this board Where recovery is our belief

Call me sappy (and it might be true) but this:
made the entire thread worthwhile for me.

I hope the limerick hangovers clear, and I look forward to more mild mayhem, sage silliness (now *there's* an oxymoron), and rhyming rivalry (in the best of ways). Recovery is hard work, but I know humor has helped both me and my husband along the way. Peace. J

Recover, recover, recover! Get onto the wagon my brother. It purges the dread, Then clears up your head, And makes you a much better lover!

This one doesn't work unless you mispronounce the Chinese city NanKING as NANKing:
A brilliant young teacher from Nanking, Used logic to justify wanking. Till he saw with a start, He was maiming his heart, And his soul was what got all the spanking.
Take care, LM
P.S. Hi Johannes!!! Hi Blackspiral!!! Hi CV!!!

I had a chance to sleep on it, here's version two:
Recover, recover, recover! Do it and you will discover. It purges the dread, Then clears up your head, And makes you a much better lover!

Aw...the "wagon" fell off this limerick. Well, the artist must revise as he must!
I like the first and last lines particularly.
Anyone else? We're almost down to two days.
