Checking in clean with 34 days. Having a great P free December. I'm feeling much better for it - I feel free and clean and pure. My mind is changing and I'm feeling better about life!
Glad to hear you're all still going strong.

The days seem to be getting longer and longer. Can't believe its only the tenth.
Spent most of the weekend raging with temptation to slip - so where did I find the strength to fight it? A bizarre vow I made to a group of internet strangers at the start of the month.
Thanks for keeping me strong!

Hi all - December 10th and still going strong.
SPD - sorry to hear about your fall - pick yourself up and keep going - now you can have the challenge to be free of P for the whole remainder of 2007! I'll be thinking of you.
Slam - run away from that temptation! Sometimes I find fighting it head on is just too hard work - it keeps me concentrating on P, which is not what I want! Use distraction - do something totally different, which you enjoy.
Be strong everyone! A P-free Christmas!!

Well, SPD, I may be back to zero as well, unfortunately, but I will leave it up to the board to decide. I am alone in the apartment for tonight with very little to do and I decided to watch a movie rather than going on the computer, which I considered dangerous. So I looked through my roommate's DVDs and I had seen most of them, but I had not seen the 40 Year Old Virgin. I knew that sex was obviously one of the major topics of this movie, but I decided that it was a comedy and that I could handle it. I made it through the movie without too much temptation, despite a brief view of breasts, and the movie was quite funny. I decided to watch the special features, and one of the features contained full frontal nudity. I did not look away or stop the DVD. On the other hand, I did not walk over to the computer and binge, either. So I'm not sure if I can claim a porn free December anymore. I would appreciate some input on this.

Extremists will say you slipped but I believe you didn't because you didn't act out sexually by masturbating, looking at porn, looking for prostitutes, etc etc. You were in a dangerous setting to slip but you didn't. Extremists will say since you didn't look away or stop the DVD that you slipped because you probably had pornographic images in your head or sexual thoughts of some sort and I do not consider that a slip. Recovering alcoholics have thoughts to get drunk but they play the tape all the way thru and see it isn't an option. Pornographic images will enter our heads but as long as we play the tape thru and realize slipping isn't an option.
