Today marks the six month anniversary of my recovery. So much has happened in these few months, it feels that it should have been longer than that. My life is so much better, in so many ways. And I am really only at the beginning of this journey. I look forward to things continuing to improve.
I can attribute my ability to be sober this long to several factors: first, and perhaps most important, my wife made it clear to me when she discovered my addiction six months ago, that I had to get help. I was abashed that she knew, and willing to do the things she required, though I didn't of myself think that I needed to. But once I started therapy, and attending SA meetings, I quickly realized that this was me--I was an addict, and I had serious issues to resolve. I've also done a great deal of reading and examination of my life history. For me, understanding the family dysfunctions that set me up for this addiction have helped in the process of recovery.
I've had clear boundaries set up to keep myself safe as well--total access to my Internet history by my wife, limits on the times and ways I can use the Internet, etc. These have helped me in moments of weakness or weariness.
It feels good to be honest with myself and with my wife, and with my SA group. It feels good to be facing reality. I am very grateful for the blessings God has given me.

Congratulations Egghead.
My recovery story is radically different to yours, but we're in the same place. This weekend marks 6 months of sobriety for me.
Hopefully we will be posting an anniversary post in 6 months time.
Good luck mate.
