I'm feeling pretty tired at the moment, but I wanted to make a quick post, as today marks three years to the day since I began my sobriety. Life is a lot different now; in some ways, it's strange to look back and think about the person I was before, about how once upon a time it seemed almost impossible that I would never look at it again, or that I could even stay away from it for as long as a couple of months. Today, it's difficult to imagine that I would ever be in a different place than the one I'm in today; sober, happy and pursuing life, instead of trying to escape it. Really, that's all I've got to say today; I'd like to write more, I think, but I left the heater on for too long, and it feels like I'm living in a sauna at the moment. If there's one thing that's guaranteed to wipe out all my energy, it's heat... No doubt, those of you who grow tired of my essay-length ramblings won't be particularly upset by that though. And with that, I'm off to rest up for a bit...

Congratulations! I've been having periods of success and periods of failure (like so many people here). Lookingforward suggested a couple of months ago that I read your journal. I never got around to it, but after I saw your post here, I started reading it. I really appreciate that you took the time to explain the steps you took to beat this thing. It's been very helpful!

Hey Blk Spiral, am not hanging out here as much...hope it's still ok for an SO to tell you "Well done! And keep fighting the good fight!"
My H will be at 3 yrs on November 8 if all goes well til then.
As SO, I look at the last 3 years with some ambivalence myself. It IS weird to realize I am living my life as a somewhat normal person too! More active with the whole process and not just the sex issues.
Don't leave the heaters on, just have hot flashes appropriate for my age...and know it makes ya tired.
Just want to say AWESOME, BS, just don't get complacent about it. Hope it's ok to say that here. Peace, and Kudoes!

Thanks for the replies, everyone! :-) Took me a while to reply back myself, but ah well...Gerry, I'm glad I didn't write anything longer now! If I'd written today, I imagine it'd be an essay, but...well, I'll keep it short. Thanks to everyone!
