I've been reading up and browsing torrent and p2p file sharing sites. UNBELIEVABLE! My h isn't computer savvy enough to dip his feet in these nasty infested waters. But I have a friend who is always using them. So I decided to browse around. I even registered at a few sites to get a better look.
1st we're suppose to believe that p isn't bad, that no one gets hurt, blah blah
2nd we're suppose to believe that lying to hide p-ng isn't bad either.
3rd, now we're suppose to believe that stealing isn't bad either. These torrents are by passing copyright laws, and users are literally STEALING these files imo. Yeah I know someone else puts it up voluntarily and then they think they are just "borrowing it from those people". But to me that's just receiving stolen property which IS STEALING.
My friend was offering to burn me some tv show dvds but I'm going to decline that offer. I don't need anything that is obtained this way. I don't want anything that I'm not woman enough to go buy for myself, or my kids. It's no different then if wrote a book, sold it online, and someone who bought a copy uploaded the entire book and started giving it away to countless strangers. That's not right. It's stealing imo.
Another thing was that many of these sites load p pics right out of the gate. You can see "the most recent" uploads, sometimes they are just file names, but sometimes they are pics. And some of those pics are CLEARLY p. So that means when my friend browses, he's seeing this p, and so are any other ppl using these sites.
Oh and this was a good one. I was pretending to be a member interested in uploading a file. This site seemed to have pretty inoccolous stuff on it, mainstream movies, tv shows, etc.... No Blantant p, so I thought it was more of a family friendy theif place. However when I followed the links to upload a torrent, it took me to another site to get the software. Well, well, well, the software was supposedly free, however what that meant was that you had to register for an account at one of 4 featured p sites, for $14.95 FIRST. So basically in order to use the torrent, or to get the software, I would have had to enroll for a month of P site usage. wtf?
