I am trying to make a list of important things i need to have for us. SS cards, Birth Certs, Nebulizer and meds, i just cant seem to THINK right now and need some help to remember the important things. We will be moving a state away with my sister and wont be able to bring thier beds and stuff (that breaks my heart) so i can only bring the important stuff with us. Anything i am forgetting? I am sure there is, any help would be great. Thanks again everyone.

Megan,
I don't normally post on this forum-Mrs. BF doesn't' post here, but after reading your early termination of your thread on the other forum I had a pretty good idea what had happened.
Best of luck to you and your family. Please stay active on the board.

(((((Megan))))) I don't really have any advice for your move - I just wanted to wish you well. I must have missed something somewhere - I have read many of your posts and I am just so sorry for whatever has finally pushed you to this decision. I know that you tried and did everything that a woman could possibly do. I am just so sad that you are having to go through this. Hugs to you.

I know how hard this is as I am now a couple of states away from my H with my son and very, very pregnant. Bring any security objects that they have, or any special cups, toys, etc. This way they won't feel so uprooted. Also, I brought my son's birth certificate and my marriage certificate in case I need them for divorce. Bring your address book and health insurance information. If they have special bedding, bring that - my son has had a hard time going to sleep at night here.
Good luck and best wishes! (((((((hugs))))))))

Megan: Although this site is geared to domestic violence, you may find the info listed on this page helpful in thinking through what you need to bring or do. Along with what others have mentioned, I'd pay attention to the financial stuff: are there joint credit cards? debit cards? bank accounts? pin numbers? etc. Wishing you well, J divorcesupport.about.com/od/abusiverelationships/qt/leave_abuse.htm

I wish the very best for you and your children in this difficult time. Take care, and don't become a stranger here. Venting here is a valuable tool in your recovery.

Everything financial - write down credit card #'s + expiration dates + those 3 digit #'s on the back of the cards (I cancelled all our shared credit cards when I divorced him - didn't give a damn if he was impacted or not, figured he could get new ones.) Write down account numbers and addresses of all of the utilites, mortgage statements, etc. - or just take an old statement of each that has all the info already on it.
Take medical records and doctor visit receipts.
Take your personal address/phone book - Hell, take everything personal and that is yours.
And make sure you have a copy of everything that is BOTH of yours.

Take print outs/dvd's of anything related to the P that you can find. Just in case you need the proof.

Take anything that you feel cannot be replaced at a store.
Financial records, birth certificates, passports, school information, house papers, equity loan papers, social security cards, medications, medical records (you might want to call your physician to have copies made for you), contact lenses, glasses, credit card numbers and statements, car titles, insurance cards (both health and automobile), and bank statements.
That's all I can think of now.
Why are you leaving, and not him?

Nothing to add but best wishes.
Oh! Take your heart with you! You need your love for yourself through this.
You are a strong woman. And oh so brave!

Sending you my hugs and best wishes as you start this new chapter of your life. I'm sorry it's had to come to this - but glad you're doing what's best for you and your young ones.
