I made it to 100 days (actually 101 days now). Its a significant first step, and I am proud of my efforts. It has enabled me to function a lot better in life in all ways. However, I am very aware that it is only an initial step, and as I expressed to Ian (support board friend) in a conversation yesterday, the growth that is likely to occur in me if I make it to 200 days is far greater than the growth that would occur if I acted out once every 100 days for the next 500 days.

Hey CL
Congratulations on your amazing achievement!!!
All of our phone conversations help me just as much as they help you. We help remind each other that we are addicts, that we can't do this alone, that we need friendship & support.
Please don't mess with the Bear Cage. Stay outta it. Stay as far away from it as possible.
There is nothing to gain -- no new amazing insight -- by slipping. Stay on the path. Whatever you are feeling -- good, bad or depressingly indifferent -- stay clean & sober. No matter what.
We can all stay sober for one day. But how many of us can stay sober for 100 days? Or even 500 days? That's the test. Then we learn things -- wonderful things -- when we stay clean & sober for a good duration of time.
You can do it. I am always here. You can always call me -- anytime day or night.
You know that.
Thank you for being my freind.
Talk to you soon...
Ian
