I need some help. I'm working from home all day today and I am fighting this constant battle not to look at P. Has anyone got any tips for how to stay focused and not stray to the P side?

Keep this browser up. Read the SO threads if you need an emotional strike of the damage the activity brings. Give us updates through the day. I am at home today too. I intend to keep myself on this board.

If you find yourself going into potential P mode, go outside and take a walk around the block for a half-hour or so, or get a cup of coffee at a Starbucks, or ANYTHING to get you out of the house and out in public. I (we all) know this can be VERY DIFFICULT, but it's important to sever yourself from the computer from time to time.

You have already received some excellent feedback. Set you homepage to the forum and stay logged on.
If you don't HAVE to be on the PC, don't. If you feel yourself being really challenged, get up and leave the house, take a walk, go to the gym, get a cup of coffee, drive around, anything to get out and away.
Start a journal here if you haven't already, write down your thoughts and feelings.
Stay focused on RIGHT NOW. Just stay sober today, or for the next hour, whatever time frame you need to work in. Don't let it overwhelm you.
Clean and sober today.
Just for today.

Yeah, if you have a laptop, and you can bring your work to a local coffeeshop, sandwich place, or whatever, that is hugely preferable to staying at home. If not, I wholeheartedly endorse just taking a break.

I work from home every day, in the basement, wife and child gone half the day. Most of my advice has been suggested so I won't repeat.
What I want to say is that when you make it through this day, and you will, consider it something to be proud of. If you can do it working from home, you can do it under any circumstances. It will make you stronger.

I did it! I made the whole day without resorting to P. There were some touch and go moments ( Standard websites seem to be able to get away with a bit too much nudity for my liking) but I'm through. My work is done and there are people at home to distract me. I want to offer a big thank you to the people who so kindly offered advice. It really helped. Couldn't have done it without you guys! If I got through today, I can get through another day.

Great Job!
I have the same problem as well. Walking doesn't seem to help at all, actually. My biggest trigger is procrastination. some other good tips here as well - did it help to have us backing you up?

Start with a healthy meal too. I work from home and one of my biggest failures is to not eat and wake up first thing. Procrastination and generally not accomplishing anything (it happens from time to time) also make it easier to be tempted. There is no easy solution to this.

Procrstination is indeed the biggest enemy. Inside me is a lazy man desperate to get out. He just can't be arsed! I'm a runner so I do tend to pack up and run if I'm not achieving anything. However I come back and think 'I'll just have a look at some P'. Therefore I've just gotta get away from a computer at this time and read or work in another room. Having people backing me up on this site is the coolest thing. Thanks so muuch. 4 days gone now.
