I don't know if there is a way to answer questions anonymously here but maybe someone could private message me with an answer to this question.......my s/o complains about an anus pain that not only wakes him with excrutiating pain at night but it stays for up to an hour. He usually will go sit on the toilet when he gets it but it doesn't produce anything. I always thought that he had some kind of bowel problem but with the discovery of his p and m addiction I have recently started wondering if he is hurting himself somehow. It really struck home last weekend, I was giving him a massage for his back pain and discovered a ball of TP in his butt crack, I joked and said you have a dingleberry which he asked what that is and then replied that he knew it was there, he puts it there....I can't imagine walking around like that...he would of course be too embarrassed to tell me the truth but my mind is not able to be quiet about this. I know this would be hard to post on but can anyone shed some light on this for me? Please. Thank you so much if you have the courage to answer, I understand that this is a very difficult subject but it is very disturbing to me as you can imagine.

It sounds to me more like he has a legitmate problem back there, maybe a really bad hemmeroid or anal fissure coupled with constipation which I think can lead to both though I'm no doctor. There is the possiblility that if he put something in there that could cause a tare in the rectal wall, but if he's walking around with toilet paper back there to control bleeding or avoid friction I could'nt see how he could still be doing it unless he's really into pain. Now I dont know his history, but only going by what's stated in the post I'd say he should get the benifit of the doubt on this one and it's time for him to make a visit to the doctor.
And yeah I have no shame either. I've had the displeasure of an inflamed hemmeroid before. Bathroom trips took me quite a while. Ouch.
