Hey all,
I couldn't sleep and I thought I'd do something constructive instead. It's 3.55am and it's technically Monday over here, so here's a new recovery tool:
"11. Journaling: Writing provides a way to become honest with ourselves and our Higher Power. By writing in journals, gratitude lists, letters and emails we can measure our progress, values, motives, and Twelve Step work. Record your thoughts, feelings, and insights. This can be an enormous help in developing and repairing your relationship with yourself. This also serves to show later how short-term our feelings can be. "
If you haven't noticed yet, most of the recovery tools I (sporadically) post are based around the 12 steps. That's just because I get them from the SLAA website.
I will not look at porn nor engage in lustful thoughts just for today.
All the best, Cap

Just for today. Thanks guys. It's good to say I CHOOSE to be free. No one put the porn in my hand. I CHOSE to act out. Today I CHOOSE not to.

Hey Cap, Good insight. I journal every morning when I wake up as a "brain dump." Twenty-five minutes stream of consciousness (about one page single spaced). It makes me aware of what I'm feeling as I start the day. A great tool.

It's now Tuesday. Monday went okay, although there was some serious "middle circle" straying at the end. A really steep slope, as some of you know.
God or circumstance hemmed me in pretty well yesterday. For once I'd like to be stronger and not rely so much on ideal scenarios to keep me off the junk.
I didn't want to start a "clean Tuesday" thread, but here's to all of you Monday folks, may we all get through today with our dignity intact. Clean and Sober Tuesday!
