Anyone know what Verisign is? It is installed on H's computer. I am one who knows little about computers and the ins and outs of what to check for. It also looks to be $14.95 for whatever service you get. Also have x3watch installed on his computer. He installed this right after D day on 11/107. I have yet to receive a report from them as I am listed as his accountability person. Is this only generated when a red flags goes up or does it log all computer activity? Or should I be suspect as to whether this has really been activated by him as I see it shows up as a program on his computer.
Thanks,
MaryJ

As far as I know, Verisign is a web authentication service. They provide internet security certificates for those big web sites that you shop using encrypted pages - generally to obscure credit card and order data. Amazon, for instance, uses Verisign or one of it's competitors. I am unaware of anything from Verisign that gets installed on a PC aside from (maybe) root certificates, and they are free to the PC user.
Judging by a really quick scan of the web site, it looks like x3watch the basic version only tracks objectionable sites. The pro version only costs 20 bucks and tracks all web sites accessed, with a rating for likelyhood of being objectionable. Neither of them tracks 'everything', just web access, and neither of them run in secret.
