Just a tiny mustard seed sized bit of faith in
Your Self
Your fellow man
Your gods or God
Your partner or family
Your ability to recover
Your ability to heal
This small seed, that tiniest desire to escape from addiction and a particle of faith and you have begun. Lose that and hope dies with it.
Too many times there is no evident faith of any kind in anything. Build on it, grow it, let it fill you. Partners and addicts alike NEED to find and nurture that and its not easy with all the pain.
Just do a scan here and see how many posts there are with things like the following thematic examples
Can I ever trust him again
Why can't I stop myself
No one cares
I want to die
I've had enough
I hate
I hurt all the time
Find a little faith. It will help you. Stop assuming that you are bad, that they are bad, that all is lost. You cannot be here and believe that. This board is a place for hope and faith that recovery is possible.
Oh that I could repossess the faith I had at age 4 again. Oh that I could judge others by their success and not their failures.
Let it fill me, let it drive the darkness out of every nook and cranny in my soul, let faith flourish and expand exponentially into ME and let it radiate to others. None of us need walk alone or in the dark.

Very nicely put and good food for thought today.
CV just wanted to add that it would be nice sometimes if we could remember to also judge ourselves by our successes and not our failures.
