damn and blast unico I would have wanted to watch that but I'm in France. Though sex programmes are becoming more and more common on C4 (it started off in 1982 as a rather highbrow arts and culture channel) and it has a reputation of sensationalizing them.
Ironically, until a couple of weeks ago I (and not just I) had a dubiously obtained username and password to a website which streams all the main UK channels live, which I would have gladly shared here. However, the website (itself probably illegal) got wind of what of what was going on and changed its security system. :-(

Do you think any clips from this program will make it onto youtube? I'd be interested in seeing what it is all about. Does anybody know of any other documentaries or programs on PA? I know there are several on P, but I don't know of any on PA.

It might be worth checking out the channel four on demand site they have alot of stuff that was/will air available to watch online. I watched the program whilst I didn't think it was all that great while I was watching I have signed up to this place this morning so it must have made some impression.

I've just finished watching the program. I was quite disapointed in many ways. Although they touched on some intresting ideas e.g. the role brain physiology plays in addiction, it was extremely superficial in its treatment of the subject. It didn't spend very much time in looking at the various types of help which people can get for this sort of problem. Perhaps worst of all - although the program did carry a warning at the begining - there were quite a lot of sexual scenes and phrases which could act as a trigger.
The only good points really to come out of it was the mess which people can get themselves into, just how hard it can be to get out and the particular difficulties pornography addiction carries with it.

i thought it was great - mainly because it was one of the few programs i have seen on tv dealing with pa. i did see something some time ago based on an american couple where the guy was a sa, but to be honest at the time i just put it down to another mad american. then i seen something briefly on jeremy kyle about a married man who consistently watched p dvd's but i can't remember the addiction thing being discussed (although i wasn't really paying attention) - and just put it down to some mad pervert. (years ago also when i was about 13 we knew this guy who's old grandpa did nothing but sit in his room watching porno videos - and again was put down t jus a dirty old pervert). coming across this site a few weeks ago was the first time i realized that there really was such a thing as pa. i kind of new myself there was a compulsive element to it, but the realization of wot a pa actually means has blown me away. that is what i found great about this program - it actually went out there on ch4 and raises awareness of this issue en masse - that has to be a good move. what i also found good about it was the admission of the psychology professionals of the relation between p nd sexual violence against women and also the admission(of likelihood) of p putting this (expletive) into people's heads as opposed to it just being a reflection of what was there to start. because i haven't up until now been touched much with damaging aspects of p my knowledge on it is really limited but i had got the impression through the years that much debate came out on the side of the argument that p had limited influence on the actions of people - just as they often argue watching of violence/games etc not being given much precedence to these crimes being carried out. i thought it acted as a warning about p use - it made a change from the apparent acceptance in society of it as being a harmless bit of fun in the realm of male sexuality.
if it makes people sit up and think hey this can happen to normal everyday guys as opposed to just putting it down to mad whatever i think that is great.
i would have liked to have seen more on what the wives had to say about it too.
by the way when did others in uk start to become aware that p was recognized as an addiction?
