Hi all! I just joined up yesterday and have been abstinent from P so far. One of my triggers is definitely visual...when I see someone that turns me on, I can feel a physical pull that draws me to my computer. There are other triggers I have that I'm sure I'll end up sharing here at one time or another. I'm sure glad this site is here. It's easier to talk to people about my recovery from drug addiction than my addiction to P. There's a lot to read on the boards, and any help with my problem is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board, I hope it helps you in your recovery - the main thing is to not be passive (whether on the board or with whatever other recovery tools you're working). Build a recovery plan (it needn't be complicated) and actively work towards it - come here and discuss how you're going, etc.
I found your comment "It's easier to talk to people about my recovery from drug addiction than my addiction to P" interesting. I find that P addiction thrives in secrecy - continue to talk to someone about it, even if it's only here.
Good luck!

Longhair,
Welcome to the board. You will find this forum a place to ask questions, to vent, to get feedback, to get support. It is a GREAT recovery tool. But only if you use it.
I recommend starting a journal immediately. Journal daily, it will give you some perspective on your recovery and allows others to post feedback and encouragement.
Congratulations on having the courage to make this step. It it the first of many to come on the road to recovery.
