Gentlemen, Let us just equate this to my current analogy of P vs cigarette addiction, and more importantly, giving up the addiction. I gave up smoking "cold turkey" after 13 years, when I decided that I DID NOT WANT it in my life. Not only for health reasons, but also because it was a "habit" and I felt that I could have been stong enough to stop spending money on something that was doing nothing positive for my life. I remember that I did "try" a couple of cigarettes during the time that I gave it up, and at first I did not like the taste, but I knew that if I continued to "try" I would get hooked again. I now feel the same with P. I say all of this to point out that the purpose of us giving up should be because we do not want P in our lives, because it does nothing "good" for us. If we do slip and "try" it after some period of abstainance, we should not continue to slip, but recognise that we made a mistake, and should forge ahead, knowing that like breaking the cigarette addiction, we will eventually not want or need P in our lives. I don't know if anyone else finds this analogy helpful, but it has helped me tremendously over the past 42 days. And if you really think about it, this analogy can be expanded alot more. The parallels are very interesting. Now onward we go to New years and beyond!

It's funny that you mention that, anew, as I added AdBlocker to my Firefox plug-ins just this afternoon. It's only Monday of exam week and I do not need anything to tempt me to "relieve some stress." I do not use dating sites, but msn.com certainly does advertise them. Thanks for the advice, though.

Still good here. This is going to get alot more difficult starting Thursday, as I will be returning home from college to an empty house; my siblings are in school until almost Christmas, and my SO still has a week before she comes home. I am working on ideas to occupy my time alone. Most of them should probably include getting out of the house.

Hey willin. Still keeping strong? Hope things are going well with you. To everyone else in here, hope we are all NOT struggling with our P cravings today. That for me was the worst part. The "wanting". Why do we want to do something that makes us feel like dog crap afterwards I never will know. Anyway's onwards we go thru day 5. Keep it up, and come in if you feel triggered or weak. We WILL give you the encouragement that you need to keep oin keeping on, right people? RIGHT PEOPLE?!!!! lol

Hi all,
Still going strong - 5th December! We can all make it through the month - keep going - keep posting here - let us know your success stories.
I've now been clean for 30 days, which is the longest for years. There have been lots of minor temptations, but I've got a real reslove this time. I've got rid of all P out of my house and out of my computer and it's not coming back!!!

I will start now! I had a tough day yesterday, but hopefully it is a turning point in my life. P doesn't help anything, it just makes me feel wierd and view women as sexual objects. Help the Radical1 out. I am happy to become a member
