The proper way to handle a bat in the house is to put a laundry basket over your head and chase the poor thing ineffectually all over the house with a broom. Then you finally wear it down so you can throw a sheet over it. Wrap it up, take it outside, and whip the sheet open. If you can enlist your parter or friend in the chase it's even more fun.
At least that's how a friend did it.

Charlie, to see the "right" way to do it, watch The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Akroyd.

The right way is to kill the bugger immediately and think not of it again!

ahh there's a phrase that'll warm any woman's heart. I can't imagine why you can't get a girlfriend! I agree with Disillusioned, because you should be grateful with whatever comes your way. I've dated heavy set women and I found them to be really cool. One of whom, I would have gotten in a serious relationship with but she got serious with another guy instead. If you belong to a dating service then you should reply to any email a woman sends you.

If you belong to a dating service then you should reply to any email a woman sends you. I'm with you on this one. You by no means have to date women you're not attracted to, but calling someone a "Fat chick" is downright offensive. You should evaluate you're attitude tward women. Maybe that's what's putting them off. It also almost sounds like you're using the fact that you're having problems in your love life as an excuse to turn to P. I'm new at this but I think I can safely say that's not good. Personally I enjoy the company of many women. They can be very remarkable people in all shapes and sizes. They can be alot of fun to hang out with. Whether I find them physically attractive or not I try to treat them with some level of respect. One part because I'm kind of old fasioned and I grew up being taught "Be nice to girls" and another because I know many women who I did'nt just give respect, they freakin earned it. Not that I'm Don Juan or anything, but I'd have words with a man who'd call one of these ladies a "Fat chick". Worse yet some of them might have words with you. It really peeves me to see what the general attitude of many men is twards women these days. No respect and no class. It's finally gotten to the point where I just call other guys on it and tell them I dont want to hear it. It's made me unpopular with some of the fellas but I could care less. I'm suprised more women have'nt decided just not to bother with us at all.

"Fat chicks" is I guess an over used cliche or whatnot. I apologize to the ladies for that. It would have been better for me to say "those of whom i'm not attracted to" or those who i don't have any chemistry with or something like that. No, I don't mean to define women in animalistic terms. I've just heard that term used many times. Anyway..i'm sorry for the offensive term i used. Plus I was ranting so I guess my irritability got in the way as well so I used that dumb term. Whatever the case, my apology still stands. Thank You for all the replies.

addict70 i do agree with what you said. I almost wish the moderator would just take it down cause it really was a foolish thing to say concerning women or any woman at that. It is quite clear that I do have my own issues to which I need to deal with especially that of my attitude toward them. I realize I shouldn't have said it so again to all the women on here..I apologize for saying what I said.

I bought a Zune a week ago and spent hours downloading music in the device and today I found that most of the songs were deleted? I called Zune and they told me the songs that are not copywrited are deleted and then they went on to saying something like if I buy a monthly subscription I can keep the uncopywrited songs in my Zune. My father owns an IPOD and he told me he can have uncopywrited songs in his IPOD and doesn't pay for a subscription. I'm going to exchange my Zune for an IPOD at the store I bought it from cuz that's BS they deleted most of the songs that I spent hours to download and I paid $ for it! The only reason I bought the Zune instead of an Ipod is because I figured since I own a PC it would be much easier to program the Zune but now I realize Microsoft is cagey about the songs they have in Zune, probably in fear of a lawsuit.

The rant is mainly directed at the guys I work with and a bunch I used to hang out with. As pointed out by my ex wife though, my P habit makes my supposedly enlightened view of women somewhat hypocritical, so I'm not totally innocent. I've also said stuff in the past I'm not proud of too. So dont take it too hard.

Ok, this is the venting thread, so here goes a major rant. I hate getting laid off. I was told today that I will be laid off in February. Like I don't have enough stress in my life. Now I have to worry about whether my loved ones will have to do without. I hate the financial setback. I hate that my loved ones will now worry. That they will worry about security. And even worry if this lay off will prompt me to act out. It won't, but I can understand that they will worry about that prospect. I hate that it is happening at a holiday time of the year. That it will suck the joy out of the season for those I love. A time when those that might hire me are too busy with other things to interview me. I hate the way some people treat you like a pariah. As if getting laid off was contagious. I hate the hit my self esteem will take. Even though I have been told, rightly, that it isn't due to poor performance whatsoever. I hate the bother of the whole deal. It is frustrating. It is emotionally draining. It is distracting. It causes anxiety. What a utterly stinking load of toadstool vomit and prickly pear ear irritating senselessness it is to be laid off. Bah humbug! Pffft!!!!!!!!!! Rant off.
