Hey Mayberry,
Would you all mind saying a prayer for my oldest daughter. I have reasons to believe she has problems of her own with SA.
Thank you, CD

Please Pray for: The people who don't know Jesus yet, what he has done for us, and what he guarantees us.
God Bless, Peter

Peter: I appreciate your prayer, but am unsure how or whether to add it to the prayer list. I want this to be place where people of all, or even uncertain, faith traditions feel comfortable posting. Also, I want this to be a place where people feel comfortable asking for prayer for themselves, or offering prayer on behalf of (specific) others who have asked for prayer for themselves. So, if you don't mind, I will, for the moment, leave it off the list and encourage those who are comfortable lending their prayers to yours to do so. With great respect, Jinn

Thank you all for your prayers.
I confessed to my wife last night about my acting out.
Please, oh please, continue to pray for her. Please also pray for our marriage.

1DAAT, I will continue to pray for your wife, you and your marriage. (I'm proud of you for confessing, and understand how painful that is, for both of you)
Also I will pray for this slip to be your last, if that is ok. God bless you both.

Thanks all. I don't know if it was others' prayers or just bull-headedness on my part, but I got thru a situation in my life that was about to cause me to panic and try to figuratively run away. I got thru it, and came out the other side ok. One down.... ninety buhzillion to go...... ;D Thanks again, and take care, geoff

I have been thinking a lot about the word "disturb" in the positive, moving forward sense. So, this morning's quote...
Disturb Us, Lord - Attributed to Sir Francis Drake
Disturb us, Lord, when We are too well pleased with ourselves, When our dreams have come true Because we have dreamed too little, When we arrived safely Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when With the abundance of things we possess We have lost our thirst For the waters of life; Having fallen in love with life, We have ceased to dream of eternity And in our efforts to build a new earth, We have allowed our vision Of the new Heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, To venture on wider seas Where storms will show your mastery; Where losing sight of land, We shall find the stars.
We ask You to push back The horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future In strength, courage, hope, and love.

The prayer list remains unchanged since its last posting yesterday morning (above).
“There are thoughts which are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the posture of the body, the soul is on its knees.” Victor Hugo
