Welcome to our new discussion forum. The old remote host became so frustrating to use that by popular demand, and thanks to your help, I have located a new host. However, this is just an experiment for the time being and I appreciate any feedback you wish to provide. I admit, I'd like to see some of the features of this service removed, but I don't get that much control.
I hope we can continue on with the discussion. Over the years, this support board has proven to be a support and help to many people (I believe). I look forward to continuing the conversation.
I can be reached via email at support@no-porn.com.
One day at a time,
Wes

Thanks, Wes!
Although I never had any problems with the old site, I'm happy to give this new one a try.
I think the archives on the old board are valuable, but the site was prone to malicious abuse. Hope that's easier to remedy here!

Thanks, Wes, for providing this more reliable site. My link from www.no-porn.com still links to the old site, so maybe others will have that problem, too. I did delete history etc and try refresh etc, but it still links to the other site. Not sure why. ?? Still

TEXT I hope I'm doing this right. This is a different format for me and it will take some getting used to... but I'm not quite ready to let you all out of my life yet...
Thanks for all you do, Wes.

Thanks Wes!
Only suggestion I have so far, and this is no biggie, the automatic censor is a little harsh. I typed (without spaces) the word " p a s s w o r d" and after I posted it turned it into "pdonkeyword", LOL!
How about make it only censor the a-word when there's a space before the letter "a"?
Thanks again, I really do love this new site!

PW's a good abbreviation...
However, I still think the filter probably should be adjusted though. LOL, think of all the conversations that potentially may get garbled - we could be talking about donkeys all day:
Concerned about everyone in the forum, every Sunday you go to "Mdonkey" and pray for them
instead of viewing porn, you spend time at the river fishing for "bdonkey"
or watch the "grdonkey" grow in your lawn
and those still in school may "pdonkey" or fail an exam
...you get the picture, lol...
In another similar forum I'm in, the webmaster has been updating the censored words with some frequency, so I'm guessing adding the space before the first letter wouldn't be too hard of a thing to change.

Being old-I'm always resistant to cahnge. It appears that soem of the features of this new board may include some security weaknesses through AOL or ICQ. I went ahead and registered but am a bit concerned about how porous this new board may be.

It took me a while to "get it". I was looking at another message where an SO changed her "pdonkeyword" and I said, "HUH???" Is the filter that sensitive? It never occurred to me that having that 3-letter string embedded in a word could cause a problem.
Peace, Gandalf
